Mark Emerton and Beris Zanetich
BERIS ZANETICH – COPYWRITER
His extensive expertise in multi-channel, direct response marketing (originally as a suit but since 2001 as an awarded TTL copywriter) is complemented by a creative philosophy that insists originality, truth, and judicious amounts of entertainment should form part of every campaign he creates. He’s also a right fussy little stickler for detail.
Ad agency empires that he and his long-time creative partner and fellow mercenary, Mark Emerton, have aligned themselves with include (in reverse order) Ogilvy, Three Drunk Monkeys, M&C Saatchi/Mark, BWM, Clemenger and Grey, along with numerous radical and like-minded independent groups.
MARK EMERTON – ART DIRECTOR
I started my career at a small agency called Boomerang Integrated Marketing and Advertising, working under the guidance of then creative director, Michael Kiely. I stayed there for a few years before moving on to M&C Saatchi Sydney in late 1999, where I worked on various accounts such as Qantas Frequent Flyer, CityRail, Vodafone and Gateway Computers.
After a couple of years of committed hard work, late nights in the office and many, many, many late nights outside the office, I spent a few months freelancing before accepting a full-time role at George Patterson Bates in late 2002, where I worked on accounts such as Acer Computers, Optus and Telstra.
I then moved on to Grey Sydney and worked there for nearly four years on GE Money, BATA, Worksafe Victoria and The Shane Warne Foundation.
In September 2008, copywriter Beris Zanetich and I left to spread our wings - spending the next 12 months freelancing for BWM, Clemenger Proximity, M&C Saatchi/Mark, MercerBell and Three Drunk Monkeys, before signing up with Ogilvy to create DM and digital campaigns for their newly-won Telstra account.
